Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Banja Luka Miloš Šolaja stated that the visit of SNSD leader Milorad Dodik to the United States is significant as it sends a message of stability and openness to cooperation with Republika Srpska.
- Every engagement outside Republika Srpska and cooperation with foreign actors increases its visibility and signals to others that there is openness and opportunity for cooperation. In that sense, contacts with institutions in the United States are particularly important – Šolaja said.
He emphasized that the award presented to Dodik for leadership and democracy, granted by Judson University, further strengthens the message of stability and potential cooperation.
- The effects are not immediately visible. More time will pass and there will likely be additional contacts, which will cumulatively produce significant results – Šolaja noted.
During his multi-day visit to the United States, Dodik received recognition for the courage required for leadership and commitment to national sovereignty and democratic principles. He also participated in the World Leaders Forum organized by Judson University and held a series of meetings, including with representatives of the Serbian community and the Serbian Orthodox Church in the United States.
