Children’s Theatre of Republika Srpska achieved another major international success at the 20th International Children’s Theatre Festival “Pozorište Zvezdarište” in Belgrade, winning two prestigious awards.
Scenographer Berina Šuščević received the Award for Puppet Design for the play Moon’s Guest, directed by Nikola Zavišić.
This is the second major international recognition for Berina Šuščević in a short period. Last year, she was awarded for innovation at the international festival in Cluj-Napoca for the play Once Upon a Time There Was a Lion, directed by Nikola Bundalo.
The Children’s Jury also awarded Moon’s Guest the Third Prize, confirming the strong connection the performance established with young audiences.
The play features performances by Željko Milićević, Božana Bijelić, Ana Anđelić, Slobodan Perišić and Aleksandar Blanić.
The latest success in Belgrade once again confirmed the reputation of the Children’s Theatre of Republika Srpska as one of the region’s most respected theatres for children, regularly returning from international festivals with important awards.
