The footballers of Banja Luka’s Borac will host Omonia from Cyprus tomorrow as part of the 6th round of the UEFA Conference League.
Banja Luka’s team is on the verge of yet another significant achievement.
In this clash with Omonia, they have the chance to make new club history.
The red and blue team is just one step away from advancing to the second phase of the UEFA Conference League.
They need just one point from the match against Omonia, which, according to some projections, also requires a point to secure progression.
- “If we play our game on the field, there won’t be any problems. Their calculations don’t interest us. If we have the opportunity to take all three points, we’ll do it and bring joy to everyone at the club, as well as our fans,” emphasized Mladen Žižović, Borac’s coach.
The match against Omonia will be the 39th game of the season for the red and blue players.
Fatigue has certainly accumulated, but for this match, all that is set aside.
- “There’s some fatigue, but we have 90 minutes left, and everyone will give 110% of their abilities in this match. The desire is to achieve a good result for the club and for ourselves,” stated Đorđe Despotović, Borac’s top scorer.
The Borac-Omonia match will kick off at 9 p.m. at the City Stadium in Banja Luka.
