Radovan Kovačević, a Serb deputy in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, said that Republika Srpska and Israel maintained good relations and announced the arrival of significant Israeli investors in Srpska.
Kovačević noted that President Milorad Dodik and other representatives of Republika Srpska had been received at the highest level during a previous visit to Israel, including by the president, the prime minister and the parliament speaker, the Knesset, with the flags of Israel and Srpska being displayed.
“We are now working to make this concrete economic cooperation, and we are already preparing for the arrival of significant Israeli investors. Some have already come to Serbia, where production of certain types of drones has begun. I believe this is an industry that is very interesting and important for the future and for the security of all of us who live here,” Kovačević said.
In an interview with Euronews Serbia, he stressed that Republika Srpska’s international standing had improved considerably, that Srpska representatives had worked hard towards this goal, had a vision and had endured all the pressure they faced, including a large number of sanctions, both personal and of other kinds.
“But we endured this because we knew that these sanctions were being imposed for one single reason: for standing up for Republika Srpska and refusing to give up the rights guaranteed to Republika Srpska and the Serb constituent people under international agreements,” emphasized Kovačević, who is also the SNSD spokesperson.
