The Serb member and chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, emphasized that the meeting of Western Balkan leaders with the new President of the European Council, António Costa, is a positive signal for the entire region.
Cvijanović noted that it is particularly important for the EU to act as a credible partner with a principled and balanced approach towards all stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- “We want to see an EU that encourages internal dialogue in BiH as the only effective means of resolving open issues in all democratic countries. We are firmly committed to continuing to align our own solutions with those of the EU while respecting the constitutional framework,” Cvijanović wrote on Instagram.
She expressed gratitude to Costa, “who today clearly and unequivocally demonstrated support for the European perspective of the entire region.”
