Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said it was a great honor to attend the reception hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump on the occasion of the UN General Assembly session in New York.
Asked about her impressions from the reception, Cvijanović told SRNA that it was an opportunity to meet and hold talks with numerous European and world leaders, as well as senior officials of the U.S. administration.
Cvijanović also said she was pleased to have had the opportunity to meet with U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz ahead of the reception.
She said they discussed the current political and economic situation in BiH, as well as opportunities to strengthen cooperation in all relevant areas.
“We remain committed to further strengthening relations with the United States, based on the positive approach and balanced attitude that President Trump’s administration has demonstrated toward all peoples in BiH,” Cvijanović said.
The reception in New York was hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump for heads of state and government attending the UN General Assembly.
