Denis Bećirović is once again demonstrating to the international community that BiH’s foreign policy has collapsed and that the country is unsustainable, Milorad Dodik said in a post on X.
“He did it again tonight at the UN, falsely presenting himself as if he were speaking on behalf of BiH, while he spoke only on behalf of Bosniak Muslims. Bećirović lied at the UN tonight. Serbs, and I believe the legitimate representatives of the Croat people as well, do not stand behind a single word he said,” Dodik stated.
Dodik argued that Bećirović’s address had not been agreed upon within the BiH Presidency and said that Serbs should no longer be expected to accept what he described as a series of false claims presented even before the United Nations.
“No, we do not want that and we will not accept it,” Dodik said.
He further accused Bećirović of hostility toward Republika Srpska and Serbia and criticized his remarks concerning the Srebrenica Memorial Center.
“Tonight, however, Bećirović, carried away by his hatred toward Republika Srpska and Serbia, while defending what I consider criminal activity at the Srebrenica Memorial Center, humiliated and insulted Bosniaks themselves. His outrageous and completely unfounded attacks on Serbia are proof that Bosniak policy is the main cause of misunderstanding and conflict in the region,” Dodik said.
He added that Serbia was offering cooperation which, in his view, political representatives in Sarajevo were rejecting.
“Serbia is extending a hand of cooperation that political Sarajevo refuses. Bećirović offers no guarantee that this will change in the future,” Dodik concluded.
