Graffiti featuring the wartime flag of the former Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH), along with other offensive inscriptions targeting Serbs, has appeared on the historic Zvornik Fortress, also known as Đurđev Grad, according to RTRS.
In addition to the image of the wartime ARBiH flag, the fortress walls were defaced with the inscriptions “Horde zla” and “Anti Srbi”, while the words “Shop za smeće” were written on a nearby waste container.
According to RTRS, police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Dating back to the 14th century, Zvornik Fortress is one of the largest and best-preserved medieval fortifications in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is considered an important historical and cultural landmark.
