Fourth Summer Wine Festival held in Mrkonjić Grad

The Fourth Summer Wine Festival was held in Mrkonjić Grad with the aim of enriching the tourist offer and attracting visitors to this local community.

Winemakers and cheese producers from Republika Srpska and the region presented their representative wines and dairy products at six stands located in the Square of the Serb Army.

The festival is being held as part of the “Mrkonjić Summer” event, organized by the “Petar Kočić” Cultural Centre under the patronage of the Municipality of Mrkonjić Grad.

“This year we have 15 participants. The goal of the festival is to promote wine and wine culture in our town and bring it closer to people. The response has been good,” said Ognjen Vučenović from “Galerija vino” in Mrkonjić Grad.

Numerous winemakers attended the event.

“Our vineyards are located in the settlement of Glamočani near Banja Luka. Among the white wine varieties we cultivate are Chardonnay, Morava, Rhine Riesling and Tamjanika,” said Miroslav Matić of “Dalmat Winery” from Banja Luka.
