Dodik congratulates Radev on election victory in Bulgaria

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik congratulated former Bulgarian president Rumen Radev and the leadership of the Progressive Bulgaria party on their victory in parliamentary elections.

“I believe you will lead the Bulgarian people on the path of progress, economic advancement and the development of good relations in the region. I look forward to cooperation between our parties, as well as cooperation between Republika Srpska and Bulgaria,” Dodik wrote on X.

According to the latest exit poll results from the Trend agency, Progressive Bulgaria won nearly 39 percent of the vote. The GERB-SDS coalition of Boyko Borisov came second with 15.9 percent, followed by the list “We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” with 14.1 percent.

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) received 8.4 percent, while “Vazrazhdane” won 4.9 percent, according to Bulgarian outlet Novinite. The coalition “BSP – United Left” secured 4.1 percent of the vote, enough to pass the electoral threshold.
