The Borik Sports Hall in Banja Luka will host elite wheelchair basketball on April 19, as Wheelchair Basketball Club KKI Vrbas welcomes the semifinal tournament of the 18th season of the NLB Wheel League.
As eight-time champions of the regional competition, KKI Vrbas enter the event with ambitions of reaching another final.
Club president Marinko Umičević said that wheelchair basketball demands exceptional effort and determination, emphasizing the physical challenges athletes face on the court.
Last season’s MVP, Vlado Švraka, described tomorrow’s opponent as a very difficult team and said the squad is ready to leave everything on the floor.
Following a successful regular season, in which the Banja Luka side finished near the top of the standings, the home crowd will witness a decisive battle for a place in the final, which will be played in Ljubljana.
KKI Vrbas will face KK OSI Paramont in what could be the club’s most important game of the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., with the ceremonial opening set for 3:00 p.m.
Earlier in the day, the first semifinal will feature Parasport Croatia against Parasport Slovenia at 1:00 p.m.
