The institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina have once again demonstrated their incompetence and their commitment to working not in the interest of both entities, but rather to the detriment of Republika Srpska. The “Vijadukt” case, handled by the Office of the Attorney of BiH, proves this, wrote the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
— The position that BiH should be represented as a party in an international arbitration dispute, while the damage is borne by Republika Srpska, speaks to ill intentions. Through poor decisions, omissions, and procedural errors, they caused a ruling against BiH, while Republika Srpska is punished. Despite this, Republika Srpska does not shy away from its obligations and has offered a solution based on the law — said Dodik.
Dodik stated that the Council of Ministers also made a decision based on the law, which was supported by ministers from among the Bosniaks.
— Nermin Nikšić rejected that solution, seeking to increase the damage. BiH, which lost the case, is obliged to settle the liabilities, after which an internal settlement will be carried out. Over 700 million in unallocated funds are held in accounts at the Central Bank and other banks, of which nearly 300 million belong to Republika Srpska — Dodik pointed out.
He stated that despite numerous agreements, Nikšić and politicians from Sarajevo are blocking the distribution.
— Nikšić has admitted several times that it needs to be done, but that they are not allowed to do it. He even admitted that he asked Schmidt to impose the distribution, which we rejected. These funds, as well as those from other sources, can be used for settlements. However, it is evident that the intention here is not to resolve the problem, but to inflict damage on Republika Srpska, even at the cost of punishing the Federation of BiH as well. That is why, yet again, we call for the fulfillment of agreements, as well as legal obligations, so that the distribution of funds can be carried out. This would allow all obligations to be fulfilled and ensure the uninterrupted operation of BHANSA — Dodik concluded.
