President Milorad Dodik sent a letter to Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli, marking three years since the terrorist attack on Israel in which many innocent people were killed and many others were taken hostage.
“Your Excellency, esteemed Mr. Amichai Chikli, with deep sympathy for the people and institutions of the State of Israel, we remember the horrific terrorist attack,” Dodik said.
He noted that since then, Republika Srpska has supported Israel’s right to defend itself, while also politically supporting global initiatives against terrorism.
“We unequivocally condemn the brutal terrorist attacks carried out against Israel on October 7, 2023. We stand in full solidarity with the victims, survivors and all innocent families affected by that violence,” Dodik said.
The Palace of the Republic in Banja Luka was illuminated last night in remembrance of the Israeli victims and as a sign of solidarity with the Israeli people, marking three years since the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched an incursion and rocket attack on Israeli territory. Around 1,200 people were killed in Israel, while Hamas militants abducted more than 250 Israelis.
