The Ugljevik Summer Evenings 2026 festival concluded with a concert by the Aleksa Šantić Accordion Orchestra from Ugljevik and performances by the Rudar and Ravno Polje cultural and artistic societies at Draža Mihailović Square.
A large audience attended the closing event, enjoying a programme celebrating traditional music, folklore, and the cultural heritage of the region.
The evening featured performances by young accordion players alongside folk ensembles presenting traditional songs and dances from various parts of the country.
The closing ceremony was marked by a warm atmosphere and enthusiastic applause, bringing to an end several weeks of cultural, entertainment, and family-oriented events organised as part of this year’s festival.
Gorica Rikić, Director of the Ugljevik Tourist Organization, expressed satisfaction with the public response and the successful implementation of the programme.
“Ugljevik Summer Evenings 2026 demonstrated that our citizens appreciate high-quality cultural, entertainment, and family events. Throughout the festival, we offered programmes for all generations, and the excellent public attendance confirms that we achieved our goal. I would like to thank all participants, partners, institutions, associations, volunteers, and visitors whose contribution made this year’s edition a success,” Rikić said.
The Ugljevik Tourist Organization, which organised the event, thanked everyone involved for helping deliver this year’s programme and emphasized that the festival once again highlighted the importance of culture, tradition, and community spirit in promoting the municipality.
