A commemorative academy titled “So That We Never Forget – The Blue Scarf” will be held today in Banja Luka, organised by the Veritas Documentation and Information Centre, to mark the 31st anniversary of the exodus of Serbs from the former Republic of Serbian Krajina during the Croatian military and police operation Operation Storm.
The event will take place near the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, where an outdoor exhibition entitled “So That We Never Forget – The Croatian Army’s Shelling of Refugee Convoys on Petrovačka Road and at Svodna” will also be opened.
As part of the commemorative programme, the documentary film “Petrovačka Road” will be screened in Liberation Park.
The programme is dedicated to preserving the memory of the victims and commemorating the suffering of Serbian refugees during the events of August 1995.
