KKI Vrbas filled with national team players

Although the competitive season in the Premier League and the regional competition has ended, there is no rest for most of the players of Wheelchair Basketball Club Vrbas. A large number of them have national team commitments and will face new challenges in the period ahead.

Vlado Švraka, Pero Kuzmanović, Milan Jović and Dejan Đurković will represent Serbia, while Nemanja Vukašinović is excused from the squad. They will be led by their club coach Goran Matić, who is also the head coach of the Serbian national team.

On June 17 and 18, Serbia will play two friendly matches against Romania at the Čair Sports Hall in Niš. These games will mark the beginning of preparations for the 2027 European Championship.

The Banja Luka club has also contributed two players to the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team: Dražen Duvnjak and Strahinja Rosuljaš. They are currently taking part in preparations for the European Championship Division B in wheelchair basketball, which will be held in Zagreb from June 26 to July 6 this year.

It should also be noted that KKI Vrbas will most likely compete in the Serbian League starting next autumn.
