The book Holy Sites of Banja Luka by Protoiereus Dragan Šućur was presented before a packed audience in the Promotion Hall of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka.
This major publication offers an overview of 57 Orthodox holy sites in the area of the largest city in Republika Srpska — from urban churches and monasteries to old wooden Orthodox churches.
The publication represents the first attempt to systematically present the Orthodox shrines of the Banja Luka region in a single volume.
Alongside historical information, the book includes numerous photographs, with special attention dedicated to the monasteries of Gomionica and Krupa na Vrbasu, important spiritual centers of the region.
The publication serves not only as a reminder of the rich spiritual heritage of the Serbian people, but also as a call to preserve it for future generations.
Holy Sites of Banja Luka thus becomes a testimony to the endurance of faith, culture and identity of the Serb people in these areas.
Following the Banja Luka presentation, the book will also be promoted in major cultural centers across the region.
