The annual spring gathering of Filipinas living in Republika Srpska was held this year at the Time café in Gradiška, hosted by Jovana Vezmar.
Following last year’s gathering in Lužani near Gradiška, the tradition of socializing, mutual support and preserving Filipino culture far from home continued this year as well.
Due to weather conditions and numerous obligations, this year’s gathering brought together Filipinas from the areas of Prnjavor, Cerovljani and Banja Luka, along with their children and husbands.
Although smaller in number, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, conversations and warmth, with the gathering unfolding in a true family spirit.
Special attention was drawn to the Filipino food served during the event, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy traditional dishes and flavors from the Philippines.
Through a shared lunch, conversations and exchanges about everyday life, the gathering once again highlighted the importance of such events for the Filipino community living in Republika Srpska.
Host Jovana Vezmar thanked everyone who took the time to attend, emphasizing that gatherings like this are important for preserving friendship, unity and culture, while also connecting families who now live and work in different cities.
The event ended with an agreement to continue the tradition next year, with hopes of gathering an even larger number of Filipinas and their families.
