Banjac: Republika Srpska must continuously insist on annulment of imposed decisions

Darko Banjac stated that Republika Srpska must continuously insist on abolishing everything imposed by individuals whom he described as acting with bad intentions toward the Serb people, as well as on annulling decisions that resulted in the transfer of competencies.

Banjac told SRNA that Republika Srpska should insist on repealing such measures regardless of the geopolitical circumstances.

“Everything that happened as a result of international pressure and imposition, and which did not arise from agreement within the domestic political arena, should be annulled,” Banjac said.

He pointed out that the international position of Republika Srpska is now significantly different, with what he described as support from major global powers.

“I believe that the constitutional changes introduced during the tenure of Wolfgang Petritsch, including the establishment of the Council of Peoples, should be annulled. Republika Srpska should move toward changing its Constitution. The Council of Peoples did not exist at the moment the Dayton Peace Agreement was signed,” Banjac stated.

He emphasized that High Representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina never had the authority to impose decisions under any act of international law or under the Dayton Agreement itself.

“It is legal violence when one man can impose laws on an entire country or dismiss officials and prohibit them from having pension, social, and health insurance rights. That is beyond all reason,” Banjac stressed.
