Vranješ: Republika Srpska leadership cleaning up Schmidt’s mess through international engagement

Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Serbia, Aleksandar Vranješ, told Srna that the new United States administration is attempting to clear up the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina created by Christian Schmidt, largely due to the serious and consistent efforts of the leadership of Republika Srpska.

Vranješ emphasized that the leadership of Republika Srpska has been actively engaged in communication, pointing out the actions of previous United States administrations.

“It is visible to the United States, especially considering that previous administrations strongly supported such behavior,” Vranješ said.

He added that communication between Banja Luka and Washington, D.C. has been successful.

“It is now obvious to everyone globally, including the United States, that everything done in connection with Schmidt and the pressure he exerted has gone too far,” Vranješ stated, commenting on announcements that, in addition to Russia and China, the United States is now signaling the end of the era of international interventionism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He stressed that Schmidt’s actions cannot be described as the rule of law, but rather as a violation of human and democratic rights.

“The new United States administration cannot support the idea that imposing someone’s will constitutes a criminal offense, which is what Schmidt did. Banja Luka has finally managed, with arguments, to reach the most important address — Washington,” Vranješ concluded.

Vranješ: Bećirović’s address to the UN Security Council is cheap political propaganda

Vranješ also stated that the address by Denis Bećirović at the United Nations Security Council session represents “cheap propaganda” by someone aware of a likely electoral defeat.

He pointed out that Bećirović addressed the Council in New York without the consent of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, acting for campaign purposes.

“He left that position without distinction and will likely not hold high office again,” Vranješ said.

According to him, Bećirović attempts to portray the entire world as responsible for the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, except for the Bosniak political elite.

“According to him, everyone is to blame — even Martians, domestic animals, and butterflies — except Bećirović and the Bosniak political elite,” Vranješ stated.

He concluded that Bećirović’s positions demonstrate an inability to communicate with political opponents, adding that his behavior signals the end of a political career that, in his words, was never worthy of the position he held.
