Christian Schmidt reportedly arrived in Banja Luka without prior public notice to domestic institutions responsible for law enforcement.
According to reports, vehicles from his escort were parked in front of the local office of the Office of the High Representative.
The reason for Schmidt’s unannounced visit to the largest city of Republika Srpska was not immediately known.
Unofficial reports cited by local media said several foreign officials were present at the meeting.
Around 2:00 p.m., Schmidt reportedly left the OHR premises in Banja Luka.
