The upcoming SET Trebinje 2026 in Trebinje is set to be one of the most important energy sector events in the region, bringing together leading decision-makers, experts, and investors.
Cvjetko Žepinić, director of Elektroprenos BiH, stated that the pressure on the transmission network from renewable energy connection requests in BiH is extremely high.
“BiH lacks sufficient consumption for the system to be more stable and reliable, particularly when it comes to the transmission grid,” Žepinić said.
Aleksandar Šukalo, director of Elnos, emphasized that investments in renewable energy sources are reaching record levels both regionally and across Europe.
“We have participated in numerous renewable energy projects. Elnos has over 900 employees,” Šukalo noted.
The summit, starting in seven days, will focus on investments in renewable energy and the challenges of integrating new power plants into the electricity grid.
Held under the slogan “Artificial intelligence drives and shapes the energy future of the region,” the event will gather ministers, investors, leading experts, professors, institutional representatives, and executives from regional power utilities.
The seventh Energy Summit in Trebinje is organized with the support of the Government of Republika Srpska, the Ministry of Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska, Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske, the City of Trebinje, and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
