President Milorad Dodik said he concluded his visit to the United States convinced that significant progress had been made in strengthening mutual understanding and opening new opportunities for Republika Srpska.
In a post on the social media platform X, Dodik reflected on his participation in a conference organized by the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement at Mar-a-Lago, where he held discussions with American senators, business leaders and influential figures within the US administration.
Dodik: It is important for Republika Srpska’s voice to be heard directly
“At Mar-a-Lago, during the MAGA movement conference, I spoke with senators, businesspeople and influential figures from the American administration. I explained the real situation in Republika Srpska, our positions and our development potential,” Dodik wrote.
He emphasized that the interest shown by American officials and business representatives demonstrated the importance of direct communication.
“Their interest and questions confirm how important it is for Republika Srpska’s voice to be heard directly,” Dodik stated.
Trump, Rubio and Miller address MAGA conference
Dodik also highlighted the participation of senior American officials, which he said gave the gathering particular significance.
“The conference participants were also addressed by US President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Stephen Miller, the newly appointed White House Chief of Staff, which gave this gathering special importance,” Dodik wrote.
Dodik announces another visit to the United States
Dodik has already announced that he will return to the United States next week.
On Thursday, he is scheduled to attend the consecration of new Serbian Orthodox Church facilities near Libertyville, Illinois.
Republika Srpska has contributed financial resources toward the construction of the facilities.
The upcoming visit will also provide another opportunity for Dodik to meet with representatives of the Serb diaspora in the United States and continue discussions on strengthening ties with the community.
