Head of the Republika Srpska Representation in Serbia, Mlađen Cicović, said that this year’s marking of the Day of Republika Srpska under the slogan “The hearth will live on” symbolizes the permanence, identity, and unity of the Serb people in Republika Srpska.
He emphasized that Republika Srpska is a hearth—a place where name, faith, language, and memory are preserved, born out of a historical necessity to safeguard the right to existence and freedom.
Cicović noted that Republika Srpska lives within its people, who carry it in their hearts, defend it, and build it.
“As a hearth that does not go out, Republika Srpska symbolizes unity, perseverance, and faith in the future. Within it intertwine the past, the present, and hope for generations to come, so that they know who they are, where they come from, and what they hold sacred,” Cicović told SRNA.
He pointed out that the marking of the Day of Republika Srpska is an opportunity to reaffirm commitment to peace, stability, and development, while respecting the historical foundations upon which Republika Srpska was created and continues to endure.
