Exhibition “Collages” by Milana Kosanović opened at the Kozara Museum

The exhibition “Collages” by visual artist Milana Kosanović has been opened at the Kozara Museum in Prijedor. The works represent an overview of her artistic creation up until the beginning of her master’s studies.

Milana Kosanović, born in Prijedor, graduated in printmaking at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka. The exhibition “Collages” mostly features pieces from the “Kilim” cycle, dominated by natural hues and earthy tones.

Kosanović emphasizes her love for textures, colors, and experimenting with different forms.

“Collage gives me the space to deepen that dimension, to create my own, to combine different shapes and make something unrepeatable,” she said.

The artist expresses herself through printmaking and graphic collage, creating new forms by cutting, sewing, drilling, and weaving graphic prints.

Art theorist Darija Vujasin highlighted the uniqueness of this display:

“This exhibition is truly something special, considering it represents one of the most complex artistic expressions — the combination of everything that visual art is and everything it can offer,” Vujasin said.

The exhibition at the Kozara Museum will remain open until September 19.
