Excellent news for domestic producers – Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been granted approval to export pork and beef meat, milk, dairy products, poultry meat and products, as well as fish products to the Russian Federation, announced Staša Košarac, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers.
“Export has been approved for six companies from Srpska and FBiH. At the same time, we approved three facilities for the import of pork and beef meat from the Russian Federation. After we received approval in April to export fruits and vegetables to the Russian market, this is an additional step toward strengthening cooperation and a clear sign of friendship from the Russian Federation,” Košarac emphasized.
The approval of exports of these animal-origin products, as well as fruits and vegetables, Košarac added, will significantly contribute to increasing the volume of foreign trade exchange with the friendly Russian Federation and open up new opportunities for businesses from Srpska and FBiH.
“I must also remind that, in addition to this excellent news, thanks to the great relationship between President Milorad Dodik and Vladimir Putin, Bosnia and Herzegovina receives the cheapest gas from Russia, and deliveries are continuous. All of this proves that the narratives about so-called ‘malign Russian influence’ are false, tendentious, and ill-intentioned,” Košarac stated in a post on Instagram.
He pointed out that “Russia is our friend, support, and partner with whom we seek to intensify cooperation in all areas.”
“The market of this large country is a great opportunity for producers from Srpska and FBiH. That is why we are committed to continuing and further strengthening cooperation with the Russian Federation,” Košarac concluded, currently in Saint Petersburg with the Republika Srpska delegation, where the International Economic Forum begins today.
