Minić: National Assembly remains a cornerstone of Republika Srpska’s institutional and political life

Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić has emphasized that the National Assembly remains one of the foundations of Republika Srpska’s institutional and political life, marking the 35th anniversary of its establishment.

In his congratulatory message, Minić highlighted the importance of the National Assembly as the highest legislative body, where the will of citizens is expressed through democratic debate and decisions made by elected representatives.

“Since its establishment on October 24, 1991, the National Assembly has remained one of the cornerstones of Republika Srpska’s institutional and political life,” Minić wrote on the social media platform X.

“We have a responsibility to preserve the reputation of the National Assembly, respect democratic principles and strengthen the institutions of Republika Srpska,” he added.

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska, the highest constitutional and legislative body within Republika Srpska’s institutional structure and the central institution of its parliamentary system, was established on October 24, 1991, under its original name, the Assembly of the Serb People in BiH.
