The Unity Caravan held recently in Belgrade and Banja Luka was of great importance, demonstrating that the diaspora is deeply interested in what is happening in Republika Srpska and Serbia, said Mladen Filipović, Head of the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in Austria.
Filipović noted that Austria is a major partner of both Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with over 250 investors currently active in the region.
“Our trade exchange is at a very high level, economic cooperation is functioning well, and our businesses are working successfully with Austrian partners,” said Filipović during an appearance on a morning television program.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring that people in Austria are informed about Republika Srpska’s perspectives.
“We must remain united in standing by Republika Srpska, just as the diaspora stands united by Serbia,” Filipović stated.
The Austrian public and government will be informed about the situation in Republika Srpska, Serbia, Kosovo and Metohija, and about who is threatening regional stability, according to messages conveyed by businesspeople and Serbs active in Serbian associations in Austria.
During a weekend meeting with the President of Republika Srpska, these representatives also conveyed the interest of Austrian investors in pursuing new investment opportunities in Republika Srpska.
