The Serb member of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, participated today in Salzburg in a panel discussion on the topic “BiH on the Path to the European Union.”
The panel also featured Austria’s Federal Minister for the European Union, Karoline Edtstadler.
Prior to the panel, Cvijanović met with Edtstadler in Salzburg.
They discussed the European integration process, the activities being carried out by various levels of government in BiH, and the reforms necessary for further progress.
Cvijanović emphasized that the institutions of Republika Srpska are committed to the European path, while respecting the constitutional competencies of all levels of government.
It was highlighted that Austria is an important economic and trade partner for Republika Srpska and BiH, as demonstrated by the many Austrian companies successfully operating in both entities.
