Milorad Dodik has called on people of Serbian descent living in the United States to support the policies of US President Donald Trump in the upcoming elections, describing them as an effort to restore sovereignty and national identity.
Dodik emphasized that Serbs in the United States should recognize what he described as Trump’s struggle against globalist forces.
“This struggle is not easy, especially ours. That is why we see Trump as someone who does not give up. Everyone who values their national identity should clearly recognize these policies and support them,” Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka.
Dodik comments on global political divisions
Dodik argued that the Bosniak people do not fully understand current global developments, which he characterized as an increasingly polarized struggle against globalism and a broader clash of civilizations.
He claimed that Christian civilization was facing strong pressure from Islam and argued that Europe had been severely affected by the growing Islamic presence.
“We understood this 35 years ago and were demonized for our understanding. Today, however, we hear the same narratives across Europe. In Sweden, a sign appeared saying, ‘Accept Islam or move away from here.’ Now they will have to deal with that themselves,” Dodik said.
He added that respecting Islam as a religion was not a problem, but emphasized that religious respect must be mutual.
