A color revolution is being waged against Republika Srpska, aimed at causing its financial collapse, said the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, in an interview with RTRS.
- Simply put, disinformation is being spread. I am concerned about the stance from political Sarajevo; they are not thinking rationally but are acting as spokespersons for foreign embassies – Višković stated.
He added that the greatest pressure on Republika Srpska is being exerted by the US Embassy.
- The US Embassy in Sarajevo is no longer what it used to be; it has become a political party, and Ambassador Michael Murphy is the representative of that party. They are grossly interfering in internal affairs. We do not need to answer to the US Embassy. They must have a certain interest in behaving this way; they also have their own bosses – said Višković.
When asked if Republika Srpska is on the brink of collapse, Višković responded that it is not and that the pressure has been ongoing for some time, but that Srpska and its representatives are not shying away from the problems.
- When someone prevents you from having normal, legal, and unobstructed access to the market, that is a problem. The pressure on Republika Srpska has been ongoing for the last two to three years, and in the last year, it has intensified due to sanctions. Companies and media outlets, along with their employees, are being targeted. Economic sanctions are not directed only at individuals but at all citizens of Srpska – Višković pointed out.
Regarding the financial situation in Republika Srpska, Višković emphasized that Srpska is regularly servicing its obligations.
- Pensions in Srpska have never been paid after the tenth of the month. Today, social benefits are being paid, followed by salaries, and this pattern has not changed in the last six years – Višković stressed.
Višković noted that projects in Republika Srpska are being implemented to full capacity.
- The hospital in Doboj is under construction, the extension project in Prijedor is ongoing, and work is being done on the UKC Srpska and the hospital in Foča. There is no hospital, health center, school, kindergarten, street, or lighting project that is not being carried out with the help of the Government of Srpska – Višković added.
He emphasized that projects financed by the Government of Republika Srpska are suffering the consequences of pressure and sanctions, but those who depend on others are the ones suffering.
- Everyone needs to do their part, and only then will everyone be satisfied – concluded Višković.
