Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić, together with Bosnia and Herzegovina Minister of Finance and Treasury Srđan Amidžić and Republika Srpska Finance Minister Zora Vidović, met today in Banja Luka with Liang Wang, the newly appointed World Bank Group Country Manager for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
Minić expressed satisfaction with the successful cooperation between Republika Srpska and the World Bank, noting that financing agreements for four new projects worth $500 million became effective this year alone.
In addition, 13 joint projects worth €230 million are already being implemented in Republika Srpska.
Minić expressed hope that the World Bank would participate in financing additional projects proposed by Republika Srpska, primarily those aimed at improving road infrastructure, renewable energy sources, and water infrastructure.
Wang, for his part, said the World Bank was ready to support new projects that would contribute to economic growth, increased employment, and the energy transition.
