Milorad Dodik has congratulated the Student List on its election victory in Serbia, saying that citizens and political actors have once again demonstrated the democratic character of one of Europe’s oldest state-forming peoples.
“I congratulate the Student List on its victory. The citizens of Serbia and all political actors have once again demonstrated the democratic character of one of the oldest state-forming peoples in Europe,” Dodik stated.
In a post on the social media platform X, Dodik also expressed particular gratitude to Aleksandar Vučić for his longstanding cooperation with and understanding of Republika Srpska.
“I especially thank Aleksandar Vučić for the cooperation and understanding he has shown toward Republika Srpska over the years. This was not merely political support. It was an understanding rooted in belonging to the same people, sharing the same destiny and pursuing the same interests,” Dodik wrote.
Republika Srpska and Serbia to continue close cooperation
Dodik emphasized that Republika Srpska and Serbia would continue moving forward together, maintaining the closest possible relations.
“We will remain as close as possible and maintain the best possible relations, cooperating and supporting one another on all issues, both regional and international, in every forum and institution,” he stated.
He stressed the importance of maintaining strong ties between Serbs living on both sides of the Drina River.
“Because Serbs on both sides of the Drina are one people, and that is how it will remain,” Dodik said.
Concluding his message, Dodik emphasized the importance of respecting the will of the people.
“The voice of the people is the voice of God. The citizens of Republika Srpska and Serbia have spoken. We move forward — together,” he concluded.
