Đorđe Perić and Nemanja Kalajdžić, students of the Kornelije Stanković Elementary Music School in Bijeljina and Ugljevik, have won the overall first prize in the chamber music category at an international music festival held in Prague from October 22 to 24.
Their achievement is particularly remarkable because Đorđe and Nemanja were the youngest participants in their category, competing alongside university music students and professors.
According to a statement from the Kornelije Stanković Music School, the victory reflects the young musicians’ exceptional talent, dedication and high-quality musical education.
It also represents another significant international achievement for the school, which has successfully represented Bijeljina and Republika Srpska at prestigious music competitions for many years.
Professor Slaviša Perić credited for international success
All students representing the school at the Prague festival were prepared by Professor Slaviša Perić, whose teaching expertise and dedication have consistently produced outstanding results on the international competition stage.
The school emphasized that achievements such as these are the result of natural talent, daily practice and professional guidance.
The success in Prague once again demonstrates that young musicians from Bijeljina can compete on equal terms with accomplished performers from around the world, regardless of age or experience.
