Promotion of the journal Archeographic Contributions on October 7

The journal Archeographic Contributions will be presented on October 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jablan Hall of the National and University Library of Republika Srpska.

The journal will be presented by Vladan Trijić, editor and head of the Archeographic Department of the National Library of Serbia, and Vanja Šmulja, editor of Verzal, the Journal of Cultural Heritage and Book Science.

The promotion is part of the “Days of Serbia in Republika Srpska” event.

Archeographic Contributions has been published since 1979 as the scientific annual journal of the Archeographic Department of the National Library of Serbia, presenting the results of archeographic and related research into monuments of Serbian literacy.

The research covers ancient texts created over a period spanning several centuries, from the earliest period of Slavic literacy to the 19th century. These monuments are studied from the perspective of disciplines related to old books, including language, script, orthography, paleography, literature, textual criticism, codicology, ornamentation, printing, bookbinding and watermarks.

From its first editor, Vladimir Alexeyevich Mošin, to its current editor, Vladan Trijić, Archeographic Contributions has maintained the same approach to the book as an artifact, making the journal unique not only in Serbia and across the Serbian linguistic area, but also in the wider region.
