The “Defense of Srpska” Movement has expressed its support for the initiative to organize the “We Know Why” gathering of demobilized veterans, which will be held on August 30 in Han Pijesak.
“The tradition of freedom and the legacy of the Defensive-Patriotic War must be preserved, while the image and deeds of the Serbian soldier must remain forever embedded in the memory and consciousness of the Serbian people. The Army of Republika Srpska and the Police of Republika Srpska fulfilled the most important national task by defending the homes of the Serbian people and creating Republika Srpska,” the Movement stated.
The statement added that Han Pijesak was a center of strategic command and decision-making, where the Main Staff of the Army of Republika Srpska carried out its duties on behalf of the people and the state.
“It is also a symbol of sacrifice and the highest achievement of our people. The finest sons and daughters of the Serbian people gave their lives and built them into the foundations of our survival, as well as the survival of all other peoples and citizens in our region. We call on all patriots, veterans and members of their families to attend the veterans’ gathering and reaffirm that the image and deeds of the Serbian soldier represent an enduring and fundamental value for all of us,” the Movement stated.
