Goran Krulj, a member of the Gym Room Sports and Recreation Association from Pale, concluded another successful competitive year by winning the Balkan title in the strict biceps curl discipline at the Balkan Championship in Doboj, where he was also presented with the City of Doboj’s Golden Charter.
Krulj won two trophies at the competition, recording the best overall result across all categories and bringing to a close a year marked by numerous medals, awards and top-level performances.
Just seven days earlier, on September 19, he became Serbian champion in the strict biceps curl, winning two gold medals and two trophies while achieving both the highest absolute and relative results of the competition.
Earlier in the year, Krulj won the European Cup in Leskovac, where he also recorded the best result across all categories.
He also claimed gold at the World Sports Festival in Mostar and won another gold medal at an international competition in Croatia, where he once again achieved the best overall result across all categories.
In recognition of his sporting achievements and contribution to the promotion of East Sarajevo, Krulj was also awarded the City of East Sarajevo’s Golden Plaque this year.
