The Republika Srpska team won a total of 28 medals yesterday at the Balkan Open Ju-Jitsu Championship in Banja Luka.
Competitors from Republika Srpska claimed eight gold, eight silver and 12 bronze medals, continuing their strong performance at the major international competition.
The 21st Balkan Open Championship, together with the World Cup in the Duo System and Duo Show disciplines, was officially opened in Banja Luka today, with Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić declaring the competition open.
In the overall standings based on the total number of medals won so far, Republika Srpska currently ranks third with 52 medals.
The competition continues today with the third day of the championship.
The first matches are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m., with all competitions taking place at the Borik Sports Hall in Banja Luka.
