Everything is set for the 32nd International Đurđevdan Festival. Seventeen new contemporary songs, including four duets, will be performed by 21 young contestants.
This year, the festival’s young stars will have the opportunity to showcase their talent in the Radio Television of Republika Srpska studio, featuring creative stage design and special visual effects, giving them the experience of performing on a major stage.
“This has been one of the most challenging years for organizing the festival, but if we managed to hold the festival during the war, as well as through other difficult periods and the pandemic, I believe this year’s edition will also be very successful, just like every previous one,” said Dejan Dejanović.
Festival competition editor Maja Tatić noted that this year’s edition introduces several new songwriters and composers.
“We have many authors with whom we have successfully cooperated for years, but we are always especially happy when new authors join us. This year we have new domestic authors, which is excellent. We particularly value our local composers because there is only one children’s festival in our country that nurtures original children’s songs, and that is the Đurđevdan Festival,” Tatić said.
The festival will take place on May 15 at 20:15, with live coverage on Radio Television of Republika Srpska television and its online platform.
