A conversation with Lordan Zafranović, one of the most prominent filmmakers of Yugoslav and European cinema, will be held in Trebinje this evening.
The conversation with Zafranović, whose work is characterized by artistic courage, visual richness and an uncompromising confrontation with the darkest chapters of history, will be moderated by journalist and publicist Perica Đaković, the Trebinje Cultural Center announced.
The event, titled “An Evening of Words and Truth,” will begin at 8:00 p.m. Admission is free, and the event is organized by the Trebinje Cultural Center and the City Administration.
Zafranović was born on February 11, 1944, in Maslinica on the island of Šolta.
He is the author of more than 80 documentary and feature films, including “Blood and Ashes of Jasenovac,” “Occupation in 26 Pictures,” “The Fall of Italy,” and the recently completed “The Golden Cut 42 – Children of Kozara.”
