As part of this year’s “Kul Jul” event in Šekovići, the 6th Evening of Oratory has been scheduled for July 22.
“We will be holding our public speaking competition for the sixth consecutive year. Some of the best law students in Republika Srpska have participated in our Evening of Oratory. One of the winners of our competition later went on to win at the renowned Nušićijada festival in Ivanjica. Both university students and high school students are eligible to apply. The jury for the Evening of Oratory will consist of Rajko Lazić, M.A., lawyer and Secretary General of the Red Cross of Republika Srpska, priest Ivan Savinović, and Prof. Dr. Dimitrije Ćeranić,” said Marko Perendić, Director of the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Šekovići, on behalf of the organizers.
All interested university and high school students may apply under the following conditions:
- The speech must be an original work by the participant, and the topic is open.
- The speech must not contain profanity or any form of national, racial, religious or other offensive, degrading or discriminatory content.
- The speech should be between five and seven minutes in length.
The text of the speech should be sent to to.sekovici@gmail.com no later than July 16.
After reviewing the submitted speech, the author will be invited to participate in the public speaking competition.
