Three special awards for students of the Kornelije Stanković Music School in Bijeljina

Students of the Kornelije Stanković Music School from Bijeljina, from the class of professor Slaviša Perić, achieved outstanding success at the 16th International Accordion Festival in Tivat, winning a total of five first prizes and three special awards.

At the festival, held from June 6 until today, Đorđe Perić won a special award with the maximum score of 100 points.

In the chamber music category, the accordion duo of Đorđe Perić and Nemanja Kalajdžić also received the maximum score of 100 points and a special award. Another special award with a perfect score of 100 points was won by Miloš Cvijić in the First Category.

Nemanja Kalajdžić was declared the winner of the Second Category of Variety Music, while Nikola Jovanović won a first prize in the Pre-Category.

“Students of professor Slaviša Perić were the only participants at the festival to achieve the maximum number of points, which gives this success additional significance and confirms the continuity of top-level results they achieve on the international stage,” the music school said in a statement.

An additional honour for the school and the city of Bijeljina came through Đorđe Perić’s performance at the festival’s opening ceremony, where he had the opportunity to present himself before a large audience and participants from several countries.
