It is important that Milorad Dodik, president of the SNSD, was invited by officials and state representatives of the Russian Federation to attend the first International Security Forum, organized by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, historian Aleksandar Raković said.
“The very fact that he, as well as Republika Srpska, is included in discussions concerning the security issues considered by Russia is highly significant. It is a privilege and an honour for Dodik, for Minister of the Interior Željko Budimir, and for Republika Srpska itself,” Raković stated.
He emphasized that he expects Republika Srpska’s position to become even stronger.
“The more discussions and meetings of this kind take place, the greater the opportunity to demonstrate the positive role of Republika Srpska both within Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the wider region. Republika Srpska now has a stronger position than before because we can see that it is not supported only by Russia and China, but also by the United States. Therefore, when we speak about the position of Republika Srpska in the context of this forum in Moscow, and more broadly, we are now looking at a different and more favourable situation for Republika Srpska,” Raković said.
He added that this period should be used to protect and advance Serbian national interests.
