SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said during his address at the plenary session of the International Security Forum in Moscow that it is important to the Serbian people which global power pursues a consistent and just policy and leaves space for the free existence of small states.
Dodik stressed that the Serbian people possess a strong sense of justice and injustice, of what is moral and immoral, and that throughout history they knew how to choose the right side, including during the Second World War.
He stated that in confrontations between major powers, the alignment of small countries often depends on how their leaders and public opinion perceive who loses and who benefits.
“In that context, small countries lobby, adapt their policies and move closer to or further away from certain centers of power. That is why it matters to the Serbian people which power pursues a consistent and just policy and leaves room for the free existence of small states,” Dodik said.
He emphasized that small countries and communities are the most interested in preserving international security and that public opinion in such societies places significant importance on international law and morality.
Dodik underlined that Serbian politics is going through difficult times, but remains oriented around one central axis, observing the actions of the Russian brotherly people.
He said that the Serbian people believe that, with Russian strength and determination, good will prevail over evil and that the future world order will be based on stable foundations of multipolarity, with the Russian Federation as one of its central pillars.
“We fully share the view regarding the militarization of Germany and the covert role of Great Britain. They must be stopped,” Dodik said.
Dodik addressed the topic “Challenges and threats to international security in the context of the formation of a multipolar order.”
He is also expected to meet today with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu. Republika Srpska Minister of Internal Affairs Željko Budimir will also attend the meeting.
Participants of the International Security Forum, which opened in Moscow on Tuesday, May 26, are attending thematic sessions, scientific conferences, round tables, presentations, bilateral and multilateral meetings, as well as exhibitions dedicated to the work of relevant Russian agencies and organizations.
