Representatives of Republika Srpska and Russia reaffirmed in Banja Luka that their cooperation spans key sectors including the economy, technology, healthcare, science, and culture.
According to officials, Russia remains a major investor, with more than 400 million KM invested in the economy of Republika Srpska. Dragan Šepa stated that total Russian investments exceed 450 million KM, underscoring Russia’s role as a strategic partner.
A particular focus was placed on technological development. Oleg Yakimov highlighted ongoing cooperation between Technopark Saint Petersburg and the Scientific-Technological Park of Republika Srpska, including joint international technology conventions.
Nikola Dragović noted that cooperation began in 2024 and described the Saint Petersburg technopark as a key innovation hub connecting major institutions with industry.
Cultural cooperation was also emphasized, particularly in theatre, museum activities, and the preservation of historical memory. Jelena Lavrinović announced a gala concert by the “Saint Petersburg Opera” in Banja Luka, along with continued cultural exchanges.
Tanja Tuleković stressed efforts to present methodologies used in combating historical revisionism, while Borivoje Golubović emphasized that shared cultural heritage remains a foundation for mutual understanding and cooperation.
Members of the Russian delegation also held talks with Zlatan Klokić regarding the development of a new cooperation roadmap for the period 2027–2029.
