Galijašević: Increased number of migrants brings increased risks

The rise in the number of illegal migrants signals increased risks, and it is crucial to know where they are entering the country, who is helping them, and for what reasons, stated security expert Dževad Galijašević.

Commenting on data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, which indicates that the police found 1,338 illegal migrants in the first nine months of this year—an 88.7% increase compared to the same period last year—Galijašević said the solution lies in enforcing the Law on Foreigners, which states that no one can enter the country without proper documentation.

“A person cannot enter the country and simply say their name is Muhamed or Ibrahim and claim they are from Syria or Pakistan. If someone has entered illegally, you must deport them and return them to their previous destination or country of origin,” Galijašević emphasized.

He added that failing to enforce the law and offering false asylum claims can only indicate bad intentions.

“The Intelligence and Security Agency of BiH should have identified the locations where they are entering, who their accomplices are, where they are coming from, and whether they are arriving in an organized manner via Turkey or Greece. We’ve seen that some of them are armed and ready to shoot at the police, making this a top-tier security issue that no one is addressing,” Galijašević pointed out.

He believes that the influx of people, primarily from Afghanistan and Syria, at illegal border crossings with fake documents, is clearly organized and influenced from abroad, particularly by some European countries.

Galijašević noted that many of these individuals are being sent to the frontlines in Ukraine and that they represent an invasion of defeated soldiers from “Al-Qaeda” and “Islamic State” who are now relocating from the Middle East to other battlefronts.

“They cannot solve their life problems without personal documents or proper education. It’s interesting to hear the explanation that Bosnia and Herzegovina is just a transit country on their way to the EU, even though Germany, Hungary, and Croatia have closed their borders. Their real aim seems to be to remain in BiH,” Galijašević argued.

He stressed that it is evident that someone is preparing Bosnia and the Balkans for a new escalation of conflicts, explaining that changes in identity and the creation of serious security problems are tied to BiH.

“A crisis is being created here, with chants like ‘Kill the Serb’ by fans in Zenica. Muslim army officers are judging the president of Republika Srpska in a former military barracks that once housed a camp for Serbs. An entire political system is being suspended, and individuals are being proclaimed as colonial administrators with imperial powers, despite lacking any credibility or UN diplomatic credentials,” Galijašević observed.

He concluded that it seems a crisis and tension are being manufactured in BiH through the movements of illegal Afro-Asian migrants, who enter through unknown border crossings, move in organized groups, behave like soldiers, and are devoid of women and children.
