Borac motivated, aiming for an upset

Borac’s second challenge in the ABA 2 league will take place tonight at 8 PM against Zlatibor.

The Banja Luka team will be playing another away game in this round of the regional competition after their first game in Ljubljana, where they defeated Ilirija. However, this away match will be much more difficult as the “red-blue” team faces one of the best teams in the Serbian Basketball League, Zlatibor, which won the ABA 2 league in 2022 but did not advance to a higher tier due to the limited number of Serbian clubs allowed. The team has been led by coach Strajin Nedović for five years and consists of seasoned players who have competed in higher leagues, including Brano Đukanović, Petar Vujačić, and Miloš Glišić. Zlatibor won their first group match against Šibenka and enters this game as the favorite. Nevertheless, Borac never gives up easily and is eager to make up for their loss to Široki in the first round of the Bosnian League.

“We are extremely motivated for the game against Zlatibor. I feel like we defeated ourselves against Široki. Now, we want to play a full 40 minutes at a high level and show our true strength,” said Borac player Ty Harris.

In the other game of this group, Šibenka will face Ilirija on Thursday at 6:30 PM.
