The President of the Montenegrin Parliament, Andrija Mandić, stated today that Montenegro respects the Republika Srpska and that without it, there is no Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mandić emphasized that those who respect the Dayton Agreement also respect the Republika Srpska.

“Whoever respects Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot respect it without its part and equal entity, the Republika Srpska. Those who respect equality, then see Serbs and Bosniaks with the same rights,” Mandić said after a meeting with the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in Podgorica.

Mandić declared that there is no Bosnia and Herzegovina without the Republika Srpska.

“We respect the Republika Srpska because there is no Bosnia and Herzegovina without it. Dayton decided that. Those who dispute the rights of Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina are destroying Bosnia and Herzegovina as a country of three peoples, not just one as many want to present in their public appearances,” he said.

Mandić stressed that peace lies in equality and agreement, not in the destruction of the Dayton Agreement.

“Today, I conveyed these messages of peace, unity, and cooperation of Montenegro with the Republika Srpska, Montenegro with Bosnia and Herzegovina to Mr. Dodik,” Mandić stated.

Mandić mentioned that the agreement on special ties, which Dodik presented to him today, is in accordance with the Dayton Agreement, and he will open a dialogue with coalition partners to present what has been proposed by the agreement.

“The Republika Srpska expresses a desire to build special relations with Montenegro, and I think that this does not harm any citizen of Montenegro,” he said.
