A delegation from RK Borac Banja Luka visited the Serbian military cemetery Zejtinlik in Thessaloniki, Greece, to pay tribute to Serbian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the First World War.
The delegation was welcomed at the cemetery by Jelena Jovanović, Head of the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Thessaloniki.
“Remembering those who gave their lives for freedom, we continued our day with deep respect for their sacrifice,” RK Borac representatives stated.
During the visit, the club presented Jovanović with an official RK Borac jersey as a gesture of appreciation.
Borac prepare for EHF Cup match against PAOK
The visit took place ahead of Borac’s European handball fixture against Greek side PAOK.
Borac will face PAOK in Thessaloniki on October 19 in the first leg of the second round of the EHF European Cup.
The match is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
The return leg will take place on October 24 in Banja Luka, where Borac will host the Greek team in the decisive encounter for progression to the next round.
