Republika Srpska authorities will once again raise the issue of constructing a gas pipeline through BiH to supply Russian gas via Republika Srpska following the elections, Milorad Dodik told RIA Novosti.
“We believe that we must make another attempt to save the Dayton Agreement. This also means unblocking all investment projects, such as the gas pipeline. Bosniaks have been blocking the construction of a gas pipeline from Serbia to Republika Srpska for 12 years,” Dodik said.
He added that if there is willingness to cooperate on the Bosniak side, Republika Srpska is prepared to work toward implementing the project.
The proposed gas pipeline project has remained blocked amid years of political disagreements between officials in Sarajevo and Banja Luka.
